I serve as the Executive Editor at Hello Mr, co-host of the Food 4 Thot podcast, and co-creator of Communion, a not-for-profit queer-only dinner gathering and artist collective. I have clocked more hours than most people you know researching, documenting, editing, curating, and telling the stories of queer people.
When I’m not hustling at one of my many jobs, I take writing assignments like this interview with Executive Editor at Buzzfeed, or this one with Perfume Genius. You might also like this longform analysis on queer adventure narratives, this interview with Janelle Monae, this as-told-by with Damian from Mean Girls, this extremely important investigative report on gay guys' post-sex snacks, or these man-on-the-street interviews on queer responses to Orlando, and also a Trump Presidency. I’m also currently seeking a literary agent for the first of my three current book projects.
I've been published in Vinyl, Fields, Jarry, I.T Post, The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Lambda Literary, The Offing, Winter Tangerine, Broadly, VICE, GOOD, and The Iowa Review. I'm a recipient of the Ruth Halls Poetry Prize, the Gulf Coast Poetry Prize, the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Award, the Eric Love Diversity Grant, the Culbertson Essay Scholarship, the Chandelier Creative Artist Residency, the Writers@Work fellowship, was twice-accepted to the Lambda Literary Emerging Writers Program, was a finalist for Buzzfeed's Emerging Writers Fellowship, and was a lucky passenger on The Passport Express.
Select copywriting clients I've worked with include Airbnb, Cadillac, Ace Hotel, Soho House, The Standard, OUT, HBO, Kit & Ace, Absolut, American Apparel, the Charleston Tourism Board, Banana Republic, Ray Ban, Sephora, Old Navy, Express, Banana Republic, The Jane Goodall Institute, Smartwater, and Dove Men.
